Social Services Transportation

The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council Advises the Transportation Agency on its annual determination of unmet transit needs in Monterey County, reviews and provides input on specialized transportation planning studies related to public transit and social services transportation, and advocates on behalf of the elderly, persons with disabilities, and persons of low income regarding transportation issues. The Agency’s Board of Directors approves appointments to the Council as needed.

  Meetings are held in the months of January, February, April, June, September, October, and November. As part of Council’s efforts to collect public comments on unmet transit needs, the Council holds public hearings in the fall of every calendar year and recommends a finding on unmet transit needs for adoption by the Board of Directors between March and May. view meeting dates
