 Committee New Member Orientation

The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) is always working to improve access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians in Monterey County. The Agency supports bicycle and pedestrian transportation with its Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee, the Monterey County Bike Plan, and the 2% Transportation Development Act (TDA) grant funding.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee meets monthly to provide input to Monterey County decision-makers regarding pedestrian and bicycle transportation infrastructure, safety and maintenance.

Individuals interested in being appointed to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee will need to complete the Application for Appointment and get a Nomination Letter from a leader in the jurisdiction (e.g., City Mayor). After the signed application and appointment letter have been received, the nomination must be approved by the TAMC Board of Directors. Current vacancies are visible online under Committee Members. TAMC staff is available for assistance on the appointment process as needed.
